Testimonials

“My brother has been a resident at Touching Lives for 5 years. Thankfully we were able to get into the first home for my brother with Touching Lives.  We are so very pleased that he is a part of this caring and compassionate community.  Due to his excellent care and well-being, we feel comfortable being “snowbirds” traveling to Arizona from Minnesota for the winters. Before Touching Lives was available to us, we would never have considered being away from him at all.  Because we can video call him through the GrandCare System in his room, it’s like being there with him so he is comfortable with us being away as he knows we are just a video call away. When we are back in Minnesota, the staff is very accommodating in us being able to visit, whether that is at the home or via GrandCare.   The Staff and Management of Touching Lives understand his personality and his disabilities, making him always feel like he is at home.  We are so blessed to have Touching Lives in his life and ours.”

“Touching lives was a great place for my mom. When she was no longer able to stay at her home she came to touching lives. Because of the smaller setting she was more comfortable and the care was more personalized. We would recommend touching lives.”

“Touching Lives. Just what the name says!!  From day one Touching Lives has made us all feel like family. Always involving the family in activities, always keeping my mom safe and secure. Touching Lives is a blessing to my family and the care my mom receives is top notch. We are lucky to have found such a great home for mom. Janet and Deb and the whole staff treat her with respect and truly care about her needs and well being. If you are looking for a place to call home, this is it!”

“It is never easy to have to rehome your loved one, but Touching Lives makes it seem so easy.  They are always there with open arms and care for all your needs. The staff is absolutely wonderful,  they are always there, and they are all on the same page with everyone’s needs. Having a smaller setting of being in the community living makes this so much easier for all of us! I’m so glad to have all of you in our lives. Every single one of you are so loving and caring. I know my mom hasn’t been the easiest and it makes my heart so happy knowing that you all care so much for her and everyone else!!

Thank you so much and thank you for having such wonderful staff that care!! Thank you for taking such good care or our mother.

We highly recommend Touching Lives for your loved one’s new home.”

“My 50 year old son Sean, was at Touching Lives for only a short time prior to his death. I wish I had found them sooner. Staff – starting with owner Deb and Mgr, Janet, don’t just consider it a job – they are extremely caring, friendly and helpful. Sean had lost all his motor skills including speech and the ability to feed himself. His disease left the intellectual portion of his brain intact. So many times he was frustrated and angry because he was difficult to understand. Staff dealt with this very patiently.

The Grandcare system, allowed me to see day to day happenings, while being in FL.

The best part was when he told them he liked to make his own waffles. Shortly afterwards, a Waffle Iron appeared. He loved the fact that they went the extra mile to make “fresh” waffles for him.

The one level living enabled him to be included in the “house family”.”
